Trisha Slay grew up in a haunted house located near the heart of the Buckeye State. Now she lives in Dahlonega, Georgia where she divides her time between surviving the corporate hairball, hunting down true ghost stories and working on her next project – White Crow Chronicles, a contemporary paranormal suspense series. She has a weakness for unsolved mysteries, Star Wars geekery, red wine, wildflowers and homeless pets. However, she’s learned the hard way that writing about restless spirits while sampling a glass of Zinfandel can result in mild insomnia or wicked nightmares. Please connect with her here, through Facebook and on Twitter (@SlaytheWriter).

Her first novel, entitled Not So Long Ago, Not So Far Away, was released by Deeds Publishing in May 2013.

When she’s not writing or spreading happiness through hydration, her interests include:

  • 70’s pop culture
  • Unsolved mysteries
  • Star Wars (original trilogy)
  • Historic movie theaters
  • Haunted history
  • Reading (especially YA novels that )
  • Nutrition/Weight Watchers/Healthy vegetarian cuisine
  • Hiking (exploring the National Forest with my guy and the best dog in the world)
  • Yoga/Meditation (spiritual, not religious)
  • Miscellaneous crafting projects (that rarely turn out as I envision)
  • Writing letters I never intend to mail

  1. Congratulations on achieving your dream! Do you still have The Algernon around? (I think that was what it was called…). My in-laws live in Atlanta, hoping they can pick me up a signed copy. Let me know where your signings will be. (And sadly, they have no stormtrooper costumes)

    • Thanks, Suzanne! I’m not sure what the Algernon is so I don’t know if it’s still around. Tell me more and I’ll be happy to look it up. While your in-laws are welcome to attend my events here in the ATL area, there will be the option of pre-ordering signed copies of the book on my publisher’s website prior to the launch. Also, if you still have family/close friends in Newark, I’m planning a book signing event there in the later half of June. I’ll post a schedule here soon.

  2. Hey, Slay –
My dear, you are absolutely the BEST! What a fantastic group of followers you have! I cannot begin to express my delight at your wonderful blog post and the marvelous responses. Not to mention the fact I’m now dying of curiosity about “Not so Long Ago…” Clearly, I’ve found a kindred spirit over there in Georgia. BLESSINGS on you & yours, darlin’!
    Hugs
